Accurate and reliable

Visibility sensor

AVS25

Reliability of Data

Durability, No maintenance

AVS25 developed by our many years of know-how provides accurate and reliable fog data.

The transmitter and receiver have the special function to prevent insects from the lens.

AVS25 detects the contamination of the lens so that the maintenance can be performed in a more convenient way.

AVS25 is designed based on the principle of forward scattering

With a forward angle, the infrared light emitted from the transmitter crosses the field of view of the receiver.

When some particles like dust, fog, rain, snow, etc. are in the field of view of the receiver, the emitted light is scattered and then the receiver detects the amount of the scattered light.

AVS25 measures the visibility the way its receiver detects forward scattered light.

AVS25 measures the visibility accurately through automatic adjustment after detecting lens contamination.

MOR is determined by the WMO standard and fog intensity is generated using the measured MOR. Fog intensity is expressed as four levels: safety, caution, warning and danger.

Optional fog present weather codes(SYNOP, METAR and NWS) are available. It is easy for you to calibrate the sensor on the field using an optional calibration kit.

Calibration kit(Option)

AVS25 is calibrated using a standard calibration kit. It is recommended that the calibration is performed during the field installation.

The calibration should be only performed when the air is clear, without any precipitation.
